How to operate spot welding machine safely?

1.Oil stains and dirt must be removed before work, otherwise it will seriously reduce the service life of the electrode and affect the welding quality.

 

2. After the welding machine is powered on, the electrical equipment, operating mechanism, and cooling system should be checked. Whether there is any leakage or other phenomena in the pneumatic system and the body shell.

 

3.Before starting the welding machine, first connect the conversion switch of the control circuit and the small switch of the welding current, insert the position of the level adjustment switch switch, connect the water source, gas source, and various adjustment buttons on the control box, and finally connect the power supply to start the work.

 

4.The electrode contacts should be kept smooth, and if necessary, they can be polished with a fine file or sandpaper.

 

5.The bearings and hinges of the welding machine, as well as the pistons and lining rings of the cylinder, should be lubricated regularly.

 

6.When the welding machine is working, the gas path system and water cooling system should be unobstructed. The gas must be kept dry and should not contain any moisture. The drainage temperature should not exceed 40 ℃, and the drainage flow rate can be adjusted according to the season (smaller in winter and larger in summer).

 

7.When the welding machine stops working below 0 ℃ in the gas bath, compressed air must be used to cool and maintain the stored water to prevent pipeline freezing, cracking or blockage.

 

8.When the load is too small to prevent the occurrence of an arc in the ignition tube, it is strictly prohibited to merge the ignition circuit of the control box, because at this time, the ignition circuit cannot be split by the arc circuit, and a large current may pass through the ignition circuit during the closing period, which may damage the ignition tube and selenium rectifier.

 

9.The circuit device of the control box is relatively complex, and attention should be paid to protecting the circuit facilities from being damaged by touch during use. When the temperature is low in winter, the thyristor and ignition pipe are not easy to ignite. The indoor temperature should not be lower than 15 ° C

 

10.After the welding machine stops working, debris and welding slag splashes must be removed.
When the welding machine stops working, the power and gas sources should be cut off first, and finally the water source should be turned off.

 

11.If the welding machine is not used for a long time, anti rust grease must be applied to the unpainted moving parts to prevent rusting of the parts.

 

12.If the controller is not used for a long time, in order to prevent moisture infiltration, it should be heated with electricity for 30 minutes every month. If the thyristor is replaced, the heating should be calibrated for 30 minutes. The preheating of the controller during normal operation should not be less than 5 minutes, otherwise it is prone to reverse arc or loss of control.

 

13.When replacing components or repairing welding machines, it is necessary to first cut off the power and hang a warning sign at the switch that reads' Under repair, no power on '. If necessary, the switch box should be locked or supervised by someone before repair can be carried out.
