What is the test method used on the spot welder job site?

1. Skid inspection test
There are two types of spot welding machine skid inspection tests, which are non-destructive tests for products and full-wave tests for products mainly used for random inspection. In the non-destructive test shown in the figure, the inspection requires prying the plate between the spot welded joints by a few MM. However, due to the need to cause damage to the product after inspection. In the total failure test shown in the figure, the weld diameter and fracture shape were obtained by driving a chisel from both ends of the nugget to the depth of the nugget to break the nugget.
2. Peel test
The glass test is a failure test using a test piece made of the same material as the product, and the test piece is inspected by breaking the test piece. It is usually carried out on a single-point electric welding site, but when there are multiple solder joints in a longitudinal column, the destruction test can also be carried out one by one starting from the end. Suitable for thinner sheets.
3. Torsion test
The spot welding machine performs spot welding of only one spot on a short booklet-shaped test piece of the same material as the product. If it is a relatively thin plate, as shown in method A, the test piece is twisted in opposite directions by hand around the nugget to break the welded portion. Be careful not to twist the sheet in the thickness direction and not to scratch your hands. When it is a medium thickness plate, the hand cannot be twisted. At this time, one of the test pieces is clamped with a vise, and the other test piece is hit with a hammer, so that the test piece is torsionally fractured with the nugget as the center. In addition, if there is a tool like C, the test piece can be twisted and fractured around the nugget.
