What should I do if the welding machine heats up?

According to the shape of the weldment, the butt welder adjusts the jaws so that the two jaws are at the same level, and then clamps the weldment. In order to avoid the instantaneous overheating of the weldment, the conditioning stages should be increased one by one during the trial welding, and the appropriate secondary voltage should be selected. In flash butt welding, a higher secondary voltage should be used.
In order to prevent the parts from overheating during welding, it is necessary to open the cooling water valve before the water can be welded. In order to facilitate inspection, there is a funnel in front of the left side of the welding machine, which can directly observe the water flow condition, so as to check whether there is cooling water flowing through the welding machine. If it doesn't work, you can check it as follows:
1. Check whether the insulation resistance between the electrode holder and the body is poor, resulting in a partial short circuit.
2. Check whether the water inlet pressure, water flow, and water supply temperature are suitable, and check whether the water system is blocked by dirt, which may cause the electrode arm, electrode rod, and electrode head to overheat due to poor cooling.
3. Check whether the contact surface of the copper flexible coupling and the electrode arm, the electrode rod and the electrode head is seriously oxidized, and the contact resistance is increased and the heat is serious.
4. Check whether the cross section of the electrode head is excessively added due to wear, which makes the welding machine overload and heat up.
5. Check whether the welding thickness and load continuation rate exceed the standard, which makes the welding machine overload and heat up.
