The basic principle of spot welding machine

Spot welding machine, also known as electric spot welding machine, is a mechanical device that converts current and thermal energy of welding electrodes and metal materials. It consists of a control system, heating system, feeding system, cooling system, and mechanical system. The basic working principle of a spot welding machine is: first, the current is transmitted through the welding electrode and the metal material to form heat energy, then the metal material is melted by the heat energy, and finally the molten metal is melted with the electrode to complete the welding.

The spot welding machine control system is the foundation for controlling the welding process. It consists of a welding circuit, a power supply, and a controller. Connecting the circuit can control the welding time and the magnitude of the current. The function of the source is to convert voltage into the current required for welding, which is called welding current and is generally AC or DC. The controller can control the welding time, current size, and welding power to achieve good welding results.

The heating system converts electrical current into thermal energy, converting melted metal between the electrode and the metal material into molten metal. This heating system generally consists of electrodes, impedance, metal materials, and fuse strips. Impedance is an important component in controlling the magnitude of current, metal materials are the reference for welding, and fuse strips control the distance between metal materials and electrodes within a certain range.

The function of the feeding system is to place metal materials and welding electrodes in a certain spatial size and position to achieve better welding results. The feeding system consists of welding electrodes, base, and metal materials. The electrode is used to control the size and shape of the welding space, while the base is used to support the electrode and metal material, and adjust the welding position. The metal material is the main material for welding.

The cooling system is a system that transfers welding heat to the desired location, mainly composed of water cooling device, air cooling device, and hot melt material. To prevent overheating, the cooling system can be connected to the external environment to achieve more cooling effect.

The mechanical system is used to control the movement of the spot welding machine, enabling it to place the welding electrodes and metal materials in a predetermined position to achieve good welding results. The mechanical system consists of a transmission mechanism, a driving mechanism, and a driving device. The transmission mechanism is driven by the driving mechanism move, convert force into displacement; And the driving device is used to convert electricity into mechanical energy.Specifically, it can provide accurate control by adjusting the welding time, filling degree of metal materials, welding position, and welding depth.

In short, the basic principle of a spot welding machine is to convert current and heat energy to form a molten medium, thereby fusing metal materials and electrodes together. The working process of the welding machine is that the current is transmitted through the control system and heating system, and then the metal material and electricity are fed through the feeding system extreme placement, then transfer the welding heat through the cooling system, and finally control the welding position and depth through the mechanical system to complete the welding work.
